Karen Small Rogers joined Rosewood High in 2015. Mrs. Rogers began her education career in 1997 as an Exceptional Children’s teacher at Southern Wayne High. In 2000, she transferred to Tommy’s Road Elementary. In 2005, she transitioned to the Central Office where she served as a Title I Leader Teacher, a Teaching and Learning Coach, and a Lead Teacher for Human Resources/Title II. In 2011, Mrs. Rogers transitioned into school administration as an assistant principal at Southern Wayne High, where she served until joining the RHS family. Mrs. Rogers holds an associate’s degree from Wayne Community College. From East Carolina University, she holds a bachelor’s degree in learning disabilities education, a master’s degree in education, a certification in school administration and a certification in elementary education.
